FAQ

Dogs

We allow up to 2 dogs per booking at an additional charge of £10 per dog to help with extra cleaning responsibilities. We are on a working farm so request that dogs are kept on a lead when they are near livestock. Please bear in mind that the cabin is small so you should plan bringing your furry friend(s) accordingly.

check in / Out

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 10am. We operate a self-checkin policy. You’ll receive instructions on how to arrive before your stay.

Payment and Cancellation

By booking directly you pay a 30% deposit upfront and the remaining balance 6 weeks before your check-in date.

We have a 1 month cancellation policy.

Amenities and being off-grid

You have everything you need in the cabin for a relaxing stay, including hot water, kitchenette with gas stove, fridge and pans/utensils/crockery, a table and chairs, double bed with luxury bedding, bathroom with shower, sink and compost loo. Outdoor bath. Picnic bench, fire-pit with grill, outdoor chairs.

The cabin is powered by solar and gas. Heating is provided by a wood stove. The cabin warms up quickly with the stove and retains heat very well. You will have enough electricity for up to 3 days without recharging. Do not plug in hairdryer or straighteners as this can trip the system.

The bath

The outdoor bath can be filled and used year round (although you’re brave to use it in winter!). It is filled with water from the boiler meaning that you can use it straight away, unlike wood burning hot tubs or baths.

arrival

You will be sent detailed arrival instructions before your stay.
